In honor of holiday time in Columbus, Nebraska, Broken Mug released a holiday menu with drinks that represent some favorite holiday movies and characters. With that being said, here are the AnchorNews ratings on the Broken Mug Holiday Menu.
First, we would like to say that all of the drinks are tasty in their own way. Just because our reviews are one way does not mean that the drink is bad. These are ranked by us rating the drink out of ten and then we averaged the scores. So please, take these ratings not-too-seriously and try the drinks out for yourselves.
The drink that came out as our last place was the Wonderful Life Latte. We tried it hot and we enjoyed the creamy, minty flavor of it. This is definitely a good drink, but it would not be AnchorNews’ first choice of the holiday menu.
Working our way up, coming in 10th place, is the Elf Latte. This drink was served to us iced with sweet maple syrup flavor and a layer of cinnamon on top. Anchor News found the cinnamon to be pretty strong, but if you are a fan of cinnamon, this drink would be perfect for you.
Next up, in ninth place, is the Grinch. The refreshing drink was served blended and had a nice green coloring to it. With its blue raspberry, mango and peach flavoring and tropical Redbull, we felt like we were transported to a warm holiday destination.
In eighth place is the Nutcracker Macchiato. This drink was served iced and had a good ratio of toffee, hazelnut and white chocolate. It was also topped with caramel drizzle which was the perfect addition to it.
Following that, in seventh place, was the Harry Potter. This drink, served to us iced, felt like we were transported into the Harry Potter universe with a good blend of butterscotch and toffee. Other flavors that added to its great taste were caramel syrup and caramel drizzle.
Sixth place is awarded to the Home Alone Mocha. This drink was served iced and had mocha and toasted marshmallow with a hint of mint. It was a really good winter drink that made you feel as though you were walking around the crazy and cozy McAllister residence.
Making our way to fifth place, the Frosty the Snowman. This drink was a blended white chocolate mocha with peppermint cream. This drink made me envision sitting next to a cozy fire and wanting a cold Christmasy drink.
Fourth place is a classic: the Polar Express. This drink was a hot chocolate with creme de la menthe. It was simple yet really good, and it put Anchor News right into the holiday spirit. If you like simple drinks with a little spin on them, this is the drink for you!
And on the podium, in third place, is the Christmas Carol. This was a blended white mocha with red velvet. It was very sweet, so keep that in mind, but it was very good. It also had a red coloring to it which made it feel very cheery!
In second place, the Rudolph the Redbull. This isn’t your normal coffee drink; it is made with Redbull! You can choose whatever flavor of Redbull you would like and then cranberry and orange juice is added to it. If you like fruity drinks, this is your drink!
And finally, the drink most liked by AnchorNews is the Charlie Brown Christmas Chai. This drink was served to us hot and had great flavors. Its main flavors are brown sugar and vanilla and it is topped with spices. It is very cozy and Christmasy!
Please stop into Broken Mug yourself to try their holiday menu before it’s too late!
