In anticipation of the winter sports season, Coach Sliva, the boys’ basketball coach, when asked about his expectations for this season said that he had a good feeling about the upcoming season. Senior Tanner Esch feels excited and expects big things from the senior class. Senior Jose Garcia feels confident about the upcoming season. Coach Sliva wants to improve quicker than last year. Esch hopes to improve on his ability to make plays and Garcia will strive to get better at shooting the basketball.
There is still plenty of time to catch the boys’ team in action. There will be an away game on Jan. 19 at 7:30 at Lincoln North Star. There will be more home games on Jan. 20 at 4:30, Jan.25 at 7:15 and Jan. 26 also at 7:15. There will be games on Feb. 1 and 13 both at 7:15. There will be two away games on Feb. 6 at Lincoln Southwest and Feb. 16 at Grand Island Senior High School, both at 7:30.
