
Coach Keiswetter has set some goals as well. He hopes to help each athlete achieve the goals they set for themselves and wants to help them continue to improve along the way. He also mentioned some short-term goals of beating Grand Island or Hastings. Coach Keiswetter also wishes to maintain the intensity of training from now until February.
Sophomore Laitenn Braithwait, hopes to make it to state and medal. Freshman Ryker Skye has set a goal of winning most of his matches and not letting someone get a reversal on him.
Overall, the wrestlers seem pretty excited about the wrestling season. Coach Keiswetter says, “I am excited to see the wrestlers who have been working hard for over a decade become the next state champions for our program. I’m also excited to see some win their first match. It’s very satisfying to witness these moments.”
You can catch their final home meet on Tuesday, Jan. 23, starting at 5:00. Districts will be held at Lincoln North Star. State will then be Feb. 15-17 at the CHI Center in Omaha.
