Prom 2024 has come and gone, and we now have the memories of it to reflect on. Much blood, sweat and tears from teachers, parents and students went into CHS’s “Enchanted” Prom and “Paparazzi” Post Prom. The Juniors and Seniors had the opportunity to fill out a survey to share their thoughts and what they did on this special night.
Everyone walked into the dance dressed to the nines in their dresses and suits. The top color theme this year, according to the survey, was purple. The next top color was black and in third place, blue.
The stigma of needing to have a date for prom is very untrue. Though it is nice to dress up and spend time with a date, so much fun can be had with friends. About 31% of the students who answered the survey said they did not have a date.
All students hope that their favorite song will be played at their prom. Some of the favorite songs of the night were “Despacito,” “Starships” and “Cupid Shuffle.” With good songs comes great dance moves, so many students were leaving it all on the floor.
After prom, the party was just getting started! Students left the high school, got relaxed in comfy clothes and headed over to the middle school, where junior parents set up games, activities, food and more. The favorite activity of Post Prom was the inflatable games. Students also really enjoyed saving up their “money” to spend it at the store, where gift cards, house items and much more could be bought.
Now that the stress of finding the perfect outfit, getting our tickets, and plans have passed, we can now look back at our prom and realize that it is a memory that will always stick with us. If you have the opportunity to attend prom, take it and have so much fun!
