One club offered at Columbus High School is Student Council. Student Council currently has 42 members that meet and host one event each month. Some of these events are big like the Winter Informal, Ironman Volleyball and Powderpuff Football. Others are smaller events like staff appreciation and the December cookie decorating event. Student Council strives to be a positive force and look for ways to make a difference in Columbus High School.
If you are a freshman wanting to join, applications are being accepted this week and will be added the first week of September. The process will include the application along with teacher and sponsor reviews. The sponsors talk to teachers and coaches of the students applying to ensure the student demonstrates leadership and good character in school and activities. Students will then be notified of their selection by email around the first week of September so they can be welcomed at the first meeting.
