LIz Wemhoff, Hannah Moser, Virgina Olson and Lexi Urkoski are four of the five seniors on the AnchorNews staff. Hazel Coufal was absent for the photo.
CHS Anchor News is proud to share about its 2025 seniors. There are 6 people on the staff and 5 of them are graduating this year. Here are the seniors who are behind your favorite CHS news.
Lexi Urkoski is starting this group Senior Spotlight. Urkoski is involved with Student Council, FCCLA and Leadership and Ethics. After high school, she plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to major in elementary education and minor in early childhood. “Do not stress about what is ahead, try to focus on the now because it goes fast,” Urkoski says.
Up next is Liz Wemhoff. Wemhoff is part of Track, Club Track, NHS, Student Council, FCA and Striv Livestreaming. After she graduates, she plans to go to either Doane University or Concordia University with an undecided major. Her advice for underclassmen is to enjoy it because it goes by fast and to get work done on time.
Our next senior is Hannah Moser. Moser participates in Cross Country, Track and NHS. After graduating, Moser plans to either take an internship or go to a 4-year college with an undecided major. “Don’t be afraid to get involved and try new things, it is never as scary as you think,” Moser says.
Hazel Coufal is our next senior on the staff. Coufal is a part of Tech, Quizbowl and Writing Club. When she graduates, she decides to attend either the University of Nebraska-Lincoln or the University of Nebraska-Omaha with an undecided major. A piece of advice she has for underclassmen is to do some extracurriculars, but don’t get burnt out with too many.
The final senior on the Anchor News staff is Virginia Olson. After high school, I plan on attending Central Community College-Columbus or University of Nebraska-Omaha with an undecided major. My advice for underclassmen is to try not to let the little stuff get to you, focus on school and remember that life goes on.
