This week’s Teacher Tuesday highlight is Mrs. Sabrina Hamling.
Mrs. Hamling is the new science teacher and this is her second year of teaching. She teaches 9th-grade Biology and 10th-grade Physical Science. Before coming to CHS, Hamling worked in healthcare throughout her high school and college careers. Her favorite academic part about being a teacher is watching her students grow academically and socially. Her favorite nonacademic part of being a teacher is getting to know her students and seeing their personalities shine.
Hamling graduated high school from Madison Public Schools. Then she got her Associate’s Degree at Northeast Community College before moving on to the University of Nebraska-Kearney where she graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree. Hamling’s birthday is on Valentine’s Day, and she enjoys celebrating her and others’ birthdays. Hamling says, “Fall is my favorite season because of the cozy weather and soups!”
Hamling has been married to her husband for three years and they have a golden retriever dog named Eleanor (Ellie). She and her husband are expecting their first baby at the end of October.
