Sports Recap!

This week has been full of games OUTSIDE Columbus! Here is a quick recap of events on Monday and Tuesday!

Football:

JV vs Seward & Freshman vs Fremont: These two teams are extremely competitive and went to the other team’s home fields to compete. JV won their match up 14-0.

Golf:

Tennis vs Lincoln East Invitational: This highly competitive meet was a successful one for Columbus! According to Coach Bethune, one of the singles players finished 4th, the team placed 7th overall, and our team got at least one placement in each division!

Volleyball:

Freshman, Reserve, and JV vs Kearney: These teams all played extremely well in this competition, especially since it was in Kearney’s home court.

Varsity vs Kearney: The Varsity team beat the Kearney Bearcats 3-1 on their home court!! Coach Otten commented the girls had lots of long rallies and they were “working hard and being aggressive to earn points!” 

Many other sports have competed this week, and they are continuing into the weekend!! Stay tuned for more updates!
