So many things happened at the pep rally on September 19! This is one of the most important pep rallies of the year – the HOMECOMING pep rally! Here is the overview.
Cheer Performance:
CHS Cheer did a unique performance for the homecoming pep rally, featuring some “extra” cheerleaders. They danced to “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, did a kick line and stunted. The extra cheerleaders were the stars of the show!
Coaches:
Each fall sports coach gave a short speech about their sport, what is next, and how proud they are of the team. At this pep rally, the featured coaches were Coach Sander (Cross Country), Coach Otten (Volleyball), Coach Plance (Softball), Coach Bethune (Tennis), Coach Williams (Football). All the coaches expressed their gratitude for the players, and their plans for the rest of the season.
Diamonds Performance:
The Diamonds performed their pom routine “I Love Rock and Roll.” The dance involves lots of cool tricks and visuals and is very entertaining. The crowd loved it and the girls did awesome!
C-Town Showdown:
This game was HEATED! The game for this pep rally was a relay involving numbered plates. The four student homerooms were Riedmiller, Klaumann, Schroeder, and Pelc. In the end, the seniors (Pelc) came out on top. They then went to face the teacher team of Mr. Wayman, Mr. Novak, Mr. Hoenk, Mr. Hogue, and Mr. Klemmensen. The students won!
Spirit Day:
Student Council members showed off the spirit days for next week, and want everyone to get excited for it!! Here they are: Monday-Inside Out Day (the movie), Tuesday-Western, Wednesday-Pink Out, Thursday-Future Career, Friday-School Spirit Day.
CHS Cheer and Student Council encourage everyone to participate in these amazing dress up prompts.

The homecoming court was presented at this pep rally, too. After the announcement, the whole school cheered them on in the homecoming court game tradition. This year, they played blindfolded dodgeball, and candidates Lauren Vasicek and Dany Rodriguez came out on top.
