Discoverer Dash:
Before the homecoming football game on Friday, CHS athletes assisted runners in the Discoverer Dash. The Dash is open for kids between the ages of 3 and 14. The CHS athletes loved their time, and Lilli Jensen even said this is her favorite event of the season.
Football:
Discoverer football knocked it out of the park this week against North Platte. With 38-21 being the final score of the game, the crowd went wild. Kids and adults alike were so excited to get the homecoming weekend started with a Discoverer win!
Tennis:
The varsity and JV tennis teams showed off their Discoverer pride this week, and came home with wins. Both competitions were against Norfolk; varsity came away with a 7-2 victory, and JV with a 9-3 victory.
Girls Golf:
Girls golf had an amazing time at the Lincoln East Invitational this week. Overall, they won 4th place out of 13 teams. Abby Jensen and Molly Goc both placed at this meet (10th and 2nd, respectively), and Jensen had a personal record.
Softball:
The Discoverers’ varsity softball team fought HARD against Lincoln Southeast this week. They came home with one win (8-7), and one loss (1-15). Way to show your Discoverer Pride!
Volleyball:
CHS varsity had an incredible tournament this weekend at the Hastings Invitational. They beat Hastings 2-0, Grand Island Northwest 2-1 and Kearney 2-1. The Discoverers came away as tournament champions!
