In honor of October finally being upon us, AnchorNews thought it would be an amazing idea to inform YOU of ideas to live out your 2024 fall to the fullest!
Pumpkin Patch: Pumpkin patches are an incredible opportunity to hang out with your friends, because they are only around this time of year. There are many available near Columbus with varying prices. Here are our favorites:
- Roca Berry (Lancaster County, NE) – between $15-20
- Vala’s Pumpkin Patch (Gretna, NE) – between $20-35
Haunted House: If you and your friends/family are adventure junkies, this is the place for you! Haunted Houses are full of thrilling paths, corn mazes, and houses for those brave enough to explore. Here are a few of AnchorNews’ favorites!
- Scary Acres (Omaha, NE) – $30 Super Combo
- Roca Scary Farms (Lancaster County, NE) – $25-32 General Admission
- Bloodrush (Elkhorn, NE) – $29.99 General Admission
Movie Night: There are many people who love to go out and do outside activities, and others who just like to stay indoors. Snuggling on the couch with your favorite scary (or not) movie is just as fun as going out to a haunted path! Here are some recommendations from students:
- Alyn Estrada-Morales – The Amityville Horror
- Reece Vasina – Scream 1
- Caleb Kitt – Smile
Fall Foods: Many places in Columbus have officially unveiled their fall recipes, and there are so many to check out! Broken Mug, one of these locations, officially released their fall menu earlier in September. They have 10 drinks on the list, but here are two students’ favorites.
- Samantha Hoskovec – Cinderella
- Alyn Estrada-Morales – Toasted White Mocha
Carve Pumpkins: A fan favorite for all ages is pumpkin carving! This activity is an easy and safe activity that can show off your Halloween spirit. Grab a pumpkin from a pumpkin patch (or the store) and use a pumpkin carver to make a cool design in it! No design is right or wrong!
