Football had their last game of the season where they lost to Millard North. The boys ended their season 4-5. As a coach, Coach Williams thought that the season went up and down. He also mentioned how it was super memorable. Williams said, “The game vs Fremont at Memorial Stadium was one these kids or coaches will never forget. This season also provided our team with an opportunity to grow and learn both as players and as men.” When asked what their strengths and weaknesses were this season, Williams said, “Our kids had the ability to play with a chip on their shoulder and play hard. We were a balanced team on offense and defensively we were able to mix up some fronts and put kids in the best situation to succeed. As we look to next year, we need to continue to get stronger in the weight room and we must find some players to fill in for the seniors we have lost. Coach said that one word to describe this season is “memorable.”
Boys Tennis ended super strong at the state meet! Coach Bethune said, “The season went great and the reason for that is we went 4-1 in duals, finished in the top half of the majority of our invites and we finished in the top half of State. Our state finish was the best in 11 years.” Bethune thought that the team’s strengths were hard work and comradery. The weakness of the team this season was mental toughness and competitive edge. One word that he would describe this season as is “successful.”

Robertson said, “The Varsity team finished consistently in the top half of its invites, with our best finish at HAC championship (4th) since joining the conference and district runner-up as a team. The JV team competed in 3 invites and continued to improve their scores throughout the season. Robertson said that Molly Goc’s season stands out the most. In every single invite of the season, Goc earned a medal. Senior Jersey Odgaard finished as a 4-year letter winner and qualified for State all four years. One word that Robertson said that would describe their season was “foundational.”
The volleyball team finished with a 21-10 record this season. This winning record is the best for the school since about 2004. Some highlights of the season are winning the Norfolk Invite and Hastings Invite. When asked to describe the season in one word, Otton, the head coach said “personality.” Her reason was they had many girls who were fun to coach, travel, and have team meals with. Good job on the 2024 volleyball season!
