This week’s Teacher Tuesday is Mr. Bills. This year Bills teaches Honors Chemistry but has taught biology and Physical Science in previous years. Not only does he teach, but he also coaches girls basketball and track and field.
Bills grew up and graduated high school in Loup City, Nebraska. After high school, he attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Bills started teaching at CHS after graduating college and has been teaching here for nineteen years now.
The ability and opportunity to help others is what inspired him to be a teacher. When asked his favorite part about teaching, Bills answered, “Seeing how students grow and change during the school year and throughout high school. My favorite non-academic part is the other teachers and staff that I work with.”
During his free time, Bills enjoys hunting and fishing. He also enjoys playing and watching sports. A fun fact about Bills is that he does not like movies. He says they are too long and he gets distracted.
