This week’s Teacher Tuesday is Mrs. Albracht. She is a non-traditional teacher which means she works with students who are in independent study classes.
Albracht attended Roncalli Catholic high school in Omaha, Nebraska. She then went to Wayne State College, majoring in math education and got a bachelor’s degree. To finish off her education, she took an online program from Northern Arizona University, where she got her master’s degree in math education. When asked why she wanted to teach she said, “I have always wanted to be a teacher. I enjoy helping others and working with students to achieve their goals. I truly believe that I have the best job out there!”
For all seven of her years teaching, Albracht has been at Columbus High School. Her favorite part about being in the school system is that each day is different and she gets to help and support students in all of their classes.
Outside of school she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, exercising and baking. In February, she and her husband are also expecting a baby.
