The winter sports are underway at CHS. One winter sport that’s been getting practice in is the girls basketball team. The girls are off to a great start and during the first week of practice have done a lot of great things. Coach Bills said that four people to look out for are the seniors: Grayson Gentile, Charli Preister, Ayla Janssen, and Abby Haynes. They bring back a lot of experience and will lead the team this year. Bills also says that there are newer, younger players joining the team. He’s excited to see how they will progress this year and how they will fit in new roles. Bills also says that the team is excited for this season and is confident that they will have a good season.
The varsity girls have their home opener on Dec. 21 against South Sioux City. Good luck to the girls basketball team this season!
