While we have record-low temperatures and many inches of snow outside, sunny days are ahead. As Groundhog Day predicted, we only have six weeks left of winter before the best season: SPRING.
20 students were questioned about their spring outlooks, and here are the results from the interview.
When asked how excited they are for spring, every student responded above a 7/10 rating, with the average being 8.7/10. This number was a little shocking, as I definitely expected a 10/10 from everyone!
Some favorite activities to do during the spring are commentating sports, reading, tanning, playing sports, and just being outside. Having the ability to just be outside without 3 layers on is definitely a highlight, commented a few students.
Many sports/activities are active during the spring. The most popular sport with those interviewed was tennis, and the most frequent activity was tied between play and theatre tech. Some other notable extracurricular activities are track, dance, soccer and jazz band.
When asked about plans for Spring Break, the results varied a lot. Taylor Alexander gets her wisdom teeth out, or as she says, “My wisdom teeth are getting evicted.” Another big plan that was mentioned over spring break is the WGI trip. They are headed to Minnesota, where they are competing for the Winter Percussion title. Everyone else just has spring sports practice and hangouts with friends.
Overall, CHS is PUMPED for the spring season, and you should be, too!
