On Monday, February 17, Columbus High School held a pep rally to honor some winter sports and do some games. Let’s recap the big things that happened during the 2025 winter sports pep rally.

First, the CHS cheer team showed off some of their moves and a little later the Sparkles Cheerleaders came out to show us what they could do. The CHS Cheer team and Sparkles Cheer team will be competing this Saturday at State. A performance by the Diamond Dancers showed us the jazz dance they will be taking to state.

In between these performances, some coaches talked about how their winter sports season has gone. We heard from the coaches for Swimming and Diving, Bowling, Unified Bowling, Wrestling, Girls Basketball and Boys Basketball.

One of the biggest things talked about at the pep rally was state competitions. As the Diamonds and Cheer teams are going, so are some boys and girls wrestlers. Bowling, both unified and boys, already went to state, and both teams brought home championships. .

To conclude the pep rally was the C-Town Showdown, which consisted of a relay game. he seniors won and got to go against the teachers. Again the seniors won and the gym was roaring with excitement.
