This week’s Teacher Tuesday is Mrs. Riedmiller! Riedmiller has been teaching for nine years, with eight years being in the Columbus Public Schools District. Before coming to Columbus, she taught at Fremont High School. The classes you can find Riedmiller teaching are Algebra 1, College Algebra and Geometry.
When asked about her favorite part of being a teacher, she responded, “I enjoy getting to know students, but I especially love to see them change over time. Throughout my time in the district, I have gotten to see students go from 8th graders to graduating seniors. It is amazing to see how much growth students have over those 4 years.”
Riedmiller spent quite some time finding the perfect major for her in college. She started at UNL majoring in Animal Science and was registered as a Pre-Veterinary student. She decided that was not for her and started taking more science classes to try that route. She once more decided to change her major to Secondary Education with an endorsement in Mathematics and coaching at Midland University.
When she is not at school, Riedmiller enjoys watching and playing softball, golfing with her husband and friends, and visiting her sister and niece in Lincoln. She also cherishes her three dogs and two cats, traveling and renovating her house with her husband.
If you see Mrs. Riedmiller in the halls, make sure to say hi! Also be sure to check in on chsanchornews.org for more Teacher Tuesdays, sports recaps, Senior Spotlights and more.
