The junior class took the ACT for the first time on Tuesday, April 8. As a junior myself, I can attest that it was a struggle for a lot of people. The extra questions, difficulty, and strictness were a huge change from the PreACT. There were many mixed emotions involving the test, so I interviewed a few students to get a sense for how the junior class felt. Here are the results:
Caleb Kitt: “We are beyond cooked.”
Reece Vasina: “Did my brain hammer the grammar or did the grammar hammer my brain?”
Maggie Luce: “I did not hammer my grammar.”
Vianney Duarte: “It went well except for the math. Math cooked me. I did not cook.”
Kammie Genrich: “You don’t want to know.”
Jay Marino: “I couldn’t find the hammer.”
Overall, the junior class did not enjoy taking the ACT (if you can’t tell). The rest of the week, the freshmen and sophomores will be taking the PreACT, so ask your underclassmen friends how their tests went!
