After being on the newspaper staff for three years, it is safe to say that I made the right decision in joining the team. It has been a great experience, and I don’t regret joining one bit. If you have the opportunity to join the staff, take it.
After graduation, I plan to go to UNL and study Early Childhood and Elementary Education. If I decide to minor in anything it would either be psychology or journalism.
Some of my favorite memories from newspaper have been Hazel’s jokes and funny comments about everything. My favorite memories from high school have been the ones spent with my friends in class. Advice I would give to underclassmen would be to just be in the moment and enjoy it. High school goes by so fast. I would also say not to worry so much about what other people think or say, because in the long run, people will forget, and you will not see many of them again after graduation.
It’s been a good run, and I will miss this. Goodbye, Anchor News, and, as always, go Discoverers!
