It’s another Tuesday, so you know what that means for AnchorNews: Teacher Tuesday! Today we feature Mr. Gilson, one of CHS’s new business teachers. 

He is originally from North Platte. Before college, he attended Maxwell Public Schools. After high school, he attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He received three degrees: Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing, Marketing Education, and Educational Administration with certification in principalship 7-12.

Before coming to CHS, he worked as a business teacher and athletic director. During this time, he coached basketball, volleyball, and golf. He was also a yearbook advisor and sponsored his school’s FBLA. 

Now, here at CHS, he teaches Career Seminar, Personal Finance, and Intro to Business. What he enjoys most about his job is equipping students for a successful future.
