There are five teachers in the world language department: Blanca Alarcon, Victoria Joseph, Lorena Miya, Liliana Velasco and Trinia Perigo. Alarcon teaches dual credit Spanish 2 and 3 through Nebraska Weslyan University. Joseph teaches Spanish 1 and 2. Miya teaches Spanish 1. Velasco teaches Spanish 3, 4 and 5. Perigo teaches two German 1 and two 2 classes as well as one class each of German 3 and 4, respectively. Learning another language is a great way to expand your view of the world. Grammar isn’t that scary if you pay attention, and it is a good way to get to know your classmates due to being forced to talk to other people.
