This week’s spotlighted teacher is Mr. Baue. You may know him for his loud “Happy Birthday” singing or his many years at CHS. However you know him, he is a well-known and respected asset to our high school.
Baue has been teaching for 41 years, with 20 of those years being at Columbus High. The classes you can find him teaching are English 12, Honors English 10 and Speech. “My favorite part of teaching is working with and getting to know my students. I also enjoy my content areas,” Baue says when asked what he enjoys about his job.
Baue has always wanted to be a teacher because he always liked school and admired his teachers. “They greatly impacted me, and I wanted to be like them.”
When he is not at school, he loves to spend time with his wife of 34 years. He is also very fond of his three children and loves seeing them when their schedules align.
If you see Mr. Baue in the hallway, make sure to say hi!
