Do you need to go to the nurse’s office? Don’t fear; Ms. Foltz is there to help!
Foltz is originally from Dodge, Nebraska, and attended Howells-Dodge High School. She attended Midland University to study nursing. She chose to become a nurse because she wanted to be able to help people during their best and worst moments of life. She said, “Nursing is so flexible and allows me so many different career paths that I knew there would always be something new for me to learn or do if I ever got tired of the job I was currently doing. There are so many opportunities as a nurse to continue learning and growing as a provider!”
After having her first kid, she decided to give school nursing a try; she wanted a more flexible job that would work around her kids’ schedules. When the job at CHS opened up, she felt it was the right time. She loved the people she met during her interview, and CHS felt like the right environment for her.
She loves learning new things and helping around the school. This position has been a massive learning curve for her, as she came from a job in a surgery department. She notes that when she’s not helping a student, she’s often asking questions. She is incredibly grateful for how helpful and understanding the students and staff are here at CHS. Her favorite memory from this school year is watching the fall pep rally!
In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, Trevin, have two girls: Addiley and Kinsley. At the moment, the girls are keeping both of them on their toes, but she hopes to get back into hobbies she used to enjoy, such as reading and sewing.
Don’t be afraid to stop by the nurse’s office; Ms. Foltz is there to help!
