Have you ever heard of E-Sports? Are you interested? Here is a quick Q&A to give you all the details you need.
What is E-Sports?
E-Sports is similar to normal sports in the competition aspect. However, instead of competing on a field or in a gym, they do things a little differently.
E-Sports is traditionally a form of competition with VIDEO GAMES. Currently, student led teams compete intramurally in games like Smash Bros and Mario Kart. However, once the group grows, they will branch out to more games and compete against other schools.
How many students are there?
There are 24 students currently involved in E-sports, and more join every day.
When do they meet?
This activity is very low key in terms of meetings. Matches meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, every other week. For example, Mario Kart games may meet the first week of the month, then Smash Bros the next. This alternation allows the club to mix easily with others and make attendance low stress.
How much does it cost?
Worried it will cost too much? Don’t worry! It is only $10 to participate; this covers both Smash Bros and Mario Kart. If you are worried about this small cost, feel free to contact any of the leaders to have a discussion with them.
