Welcome back to the site that tells you what you need to know about what music CHS listens to. Today, let’s talk about Metallica, the second most requested artist from the student body. 

Metallica was formed in 1981 in Los Angeles, Cal. House favorites were “Hero of the Day,” “Nothing Else Matters,” “Turn the Page,” “Blackened,” “One,” and “All Within My Hands”. Their first album Kill ‘Em All was released in 1983; it is refreshing to see that even now, over four decades since the release, people are still listening to their music and not letting that rock die. 

 With this being known about them, it is rather fascinating to see what fans think about their music: “I appreciate their music because the lyrics often carry significant social messages and profound meanings. I admire the craftsmanship of their songs and their unique sound.” 

As someone who loves music and finds lyrics the best part of a song, it is fascinating to see how much their lyrics really affect someone. Listening to the popular songs with the fans at the school and reading the lyrics alongside it was rather eye-opening.
