Along the lines of different activities at CHS, there are also many clubs to choose from, such as Art Club! The Art Club is led by teachers Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Stodola.
“Art Club is all about using art in a community service kind of way,” said Stodola. The Art Club has awesome members who all love art and are willing to help in any way.
In the past, the Art Club has done projects to help out the band and the musical with their art skills. Every year, they create a special gift for the teachers to show their appreciation. Stodola said their goal this year is to add more decoration to the school and to make it feel, well, more like a school.
To join the Art Club, you have to go through an application process at the beginning of the year, be in grades 10-12, and have completed or be in at least one art class. The deadline to join this year has passed, but you can always apply next year!
Stodola loves being a part of the arts, “…because of the community service aspect, and for the fact that I know how much doing something for somebody else means.” The Art Club is a great opportunity to get involved with the school. Senior Selena Martinez’s favorite thing about art club is “being able to engage in activities and meet new people, and do fun things.”
If you want to join any clubs next year, definitely consider the Art Club because it is a great opportunity to grow in your skills and learn new things.
Have a great day, Discoverers!
