October 31 is many people’s favorite day of the year for one reason: Halloween!! The day when anyone can dress up, hang out with their friends, and get FREE candy from random people. Our student body gave their opinions and input about different parts of Halloween.
Scary Movie:
What is Halloween if you don’t watch at least one scary movie?? When asked, many students had differing opinions! Some top movies mentioned were Hocus Pocus, Terrifier 2 and 3, Scream, It: Chapter 2, and Jennifer’s Body. Hocus Pocus was definitely a top choice, as 4 people mentioned it!!
Haunted Houses:
Of the students who went, many people mentioned going to Scary Acres, Roca Scary, or Camp Pawnee. Kelti Siegel, a freshman, went to Scary Acres and commented, “It was very fun! There was a lot of people, but it was all a great experience.” Kaylynn Behne, another freshman, mentioned that Camp Pawnee was super fun, and she had a great time. Overall, more than half of the students who were polled went to a haunted house, and just as many had lots of fun at them.
Costumes:
Many people dressed up for Halloween, whether it be to go hang out with friends or to go trick or treating with their siblings. Some notable costumes were a leopard (Victor Luis-Ramos), Christmas (Liz Wemhoff), a unicorn (Kamryn Reiter), and a cat (Lilli Jensen). There were many others shared but these are a few of my favorites!
Recap:
Overall, everyone said that their Halloween was very fun. Jesus Mendoza said, “Halloween day I helped out with trunk-or-treat with FBLA…after that I didn’t do much else.” Kelti Siegel mentioned that, “My Halloween was very fun and full of exciting scares.”
