Quiz Bowl starts at the beginning of the school year as it is a year-round school activity. Quiz Bowl meets every Thursday after school in Mrs. Lenser’s classroom (G233) for their practices. 

The teams for Quiz Bowl are usually divided up between boys and girls. There may be some rivalry there. They go to different meets in the Omaha/Lincoln area where they compete against other schools. 

Basically, Quiz Bowl is a game of speed (who can press the button faster) and knowledge (do you know the answer). In the spring, Quiz Bowl will compete at a district competition. They also have a staff v. student competition each year. The students have won that competition at least three years in a row. 

If you are thinking about joining Quiz Bowl, here is some additional information. Quiz Bowl is a fluid organization, meaning that they allow people involved in other activities to join and they work around/with your schedule. If you think it’s something you would like to try, feel free to go ahead and go to one of their practices on Thursday! The door is always open if you want to go try out a practice!
