On November 8 and 9, the magical Cinderella musical was performed. This musical was fun, energetic, funny, magical, and more. Aliya Nichols was the female lead role as Cinderella and Aidan Ballentine was the male lead role as the prince. As a freshman, Nichols did a great job in her first high school musical. She believed that the musical turned out amazing and that it was super fun. Nichols, along with many others believed that their hard work paid off in the end. Nichols said, “This show was such an amazing opportunity for me! I had so much fun and I made so many new connections with lots of wonderful people! Although it was hard, and there were lots of late nights it was all worth it and I don’t regret a thing! I am so thankful for this opportunity and for all of the people who made it possible!”
Junior Bronwyn Prokopec, had the role of the evil sister Joy. She also believed that the musical went extremely well. She felt that she grew a stronger bond with the seniors of the cast. Because she grew this bond, she mentioned how she is going to miss the seniors a lot.
Senior Bria Jeffryes had the role of the Fairy Godmother. As a senior, she said that this was the best musical she had ever been a part of. She mentioned that the seniors became closer and becoming closer helped them to produce the best possible shows they could. Her favorite scene was the Ball Scene.
Elisabeth Suiter, who is a senior, played the role of Queen Constantina. She said that the musical was a ton of fun. Suiter mentioned how the first and last shows were particularly the best! Suiter said, “Well… that was probably my last musical I’ll do at the high school level… That’s crazy.”
Personally, this was one of my favorite CHS musicals I have watched. Great job to all of the actors and behind-the-scenes workers!
