As this semester comes to an end, there is a lot we can take back from this year. Many seniors will no longer roam the school halls since they graduated midterm. Other seniors still have another semester until graduation, yet some of their closest school peers won’t be here to experience it with them. It’s sad seeing our classmates leave and having to say farewell. I’m pretty sure this is a hard time for seniors, underclassmen, and teachers since they won’t see these students in class anymore.
However, while it’s hard saying goodbye, they are starting a new path, and we should encourage them as they leave. There are loads of cherished memories that we can all look back on together. If there are ways you can keep in touch outside of school that’s great! It’s nice to keep in touch with old peers and see how they are doing. They will be missed, but the experiences we had together will still be there.
As a senior who also feels this way, my advice is to look forward to the future. We have one last semester left, and regardless of how it went, we still have the opportunity to make the most of next year. It’s our last year, so let’s finish strong so that we can also join our peers who graduated before us.
