Columbus High juniors will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, April 9. The ACT is a standardized test that over 1 million high school students take. This test can help students get more scholarships for college or get into college. The test consists of five sections. These include English, math, reading, science and writing. Students are required to test in these sections in a certain amount of time. Freshmen and sophomores will be taking the pre-ACT next week as well.
The students in the Class of 2025 have mixed feelings about the ACT. Madalyn Medinger is feeling very nervous about the ACT. Lexi Urkoski wants to get it over with. Virginia Olson is feeling very scared about the ACT. Hannah Moser is feeling pretty good about the ACT. She says she is feeling confident because of all the practice and examples that the teachers have gone over with her. Caiti Campbell is feeling anxious, but overall she is feeling okay about it.
Good luck to all of the students taking the Pre-ACT and the ACT!
