As all of us non-seniors are still here at school with 2 days left, I think it is only fair that we know what everyone else is thinking. We have had so many senior thoughts, but now they are gone, and it’s just us left. So let’s hear from non-seniors and see what they are thinking as we enter the final stretch of this year.
Freshman Kortlin Gustafon said she misses some of the seniors with whom she grew close through sports. With finishing her freshman year, she is a little stressed with finals, but is excited to go to baseball games and hang out with friends during the summer. The highlight of her year was “meeting new people who became some of my really good friends, or getting put into classes where I had no friends and met different people.”
Jazmine Hernandez, a sophomore, said she will miss senior Melissa Gomez-Vasquez most, as she said, “I’m going to miss not being able to have her as my teammate anymore.” In sports, many special bonds can from as we see from many students who will miss the seniors that left. On a good note, Hernandez’s highlight for her sophomore year has been breaking 6 minutes in the mile to get a personal best of 5:58. She is also excited to start summer running for cross country and get to know the new members in her color guard team.
I myself will also miss the leaving seniors, but it is good to know that they are all moving into the next step of their lives and going to accomplish great things in their future.
That’s all for today, Discoverers. Have a great day, remember to keep in touch with the graduates, and check out our Instagram @chsanchornews
