The swimming and diving season has come to an end for this year. The last swim meet was the state competition held in Lincoln at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Natatorium on Feb. 26-28. Thursday was dives, Friday was swim preliminaries, and Saturday was swim finals. Here are the state qualifiers and their swim events:

Kaitlyn Janicek- 200 free relay

Martin Velasco- 200 medley, 200 free relay

Brandlyn Gentile- 200 free relay, 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke

Greta Roberts- 200 free relay

Wyatt Recek- 200 medley relay, 200 free relay, 100 breaststroke

Gavin Kragness- 200 medley relay, 200 free relay, 100 backstroke

Corbin Renteria- 200 medley relay, 200 free relay

Erinn Briggs- 200 free relay, 100 breaststroke

State alternates were Gabe Penn, Genaro Olvera-Alarcon, Taylor Alexander, and Sydney Miller.

The team worked hard in the prelims but unfortunately came short of reaching the finals, but they had a great run!

The swim and dive team had a great season this year and tried their best. If you see a swimmer in school, give them a little congrats!
