The next Teacher Tuesday feature is Mr. Koner Hogue.
Mr. Hogue is one of the new fitness teachers, teaching three sections of Fitness 9, two sections of Health 9 and 11-12 Wellness. This is his third year of teaching but his first at CHS. Before coming to CHS, he worked at Tri County Jr./Sr. High, coaching girls’ basketball and junior high track and field. His favorite part about teaching is being able to make connections with students and watch them grow throughout their years with the school.
Growing up, Mr. Hogue attended Falls City Public Schools where his parents were teachers. His dream of wanting to be a teacher came from them as he saw their impact on their students. “I knew I wanted to make that same impact,” said Hogue.
Mr. Hogue graduated from Peru State College and is the second of three boys. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and working out. He likes to participate in a variety of sports with his friends when he has the chance. Hogue mentioned, “I’ve always wanted to go skydiving but never have had the opportunity to.”
