Teacher Tuesday!

Today our Teacher for Teacher Tuesday Mr. Dizon! Dizon is a new staff member in the English department. He teaches English 9 and English 10.

Dizon is a teacher from the Philippines, from the city of Mexico. He came here with his wife in June. He builds a very safe environment in his classroom. He says he is very privileged to have the opportunity to come here and teach for CHS. He plans to stay in Nebraska for a while and to keep teaching at CHS for as long as he can. He says he loves all the people and is still very very grateful that he could come here and teach in our English department.

Dizon has been teaching for a few years now; he was teaching in the Philippines for a while before he came to Nebraska. He likes traveling but he said he has never visited the United States before moving here. He said one thing that he liked doing over the summer before school started was going to our local Plunge! He said it was way different from the swimming pools that they have in the Philippines. He loves seeing all the landscapes that he doesn’t get to see in the Philippines.
