For the class of 2026, this is their last year of high school. Some may think it is bittersweet, but we will find out what seniors are truly thinking and planning after high school. I asked many seniors what they were thinking this far into the school year, and these were their responses.
Sam Wang will go and study towards his career at UNO after graduation. He also said that his senior year is preparing him for his future by teaching him to balance multiple classes and schoolwork.
Some advice Logan Allsman would give to the next senior class is, “Enjoy your last bit of being a kid. It goes so fast.”
Kysen Grape plans to become an electrician after graduating, and his current hardest class this semester is Guitar. No matter what career you’re going into, it is always okay to have some fun classes.
“Get your hours down before it is too late,” is what Kevin Escobar would say to incoming seniors about their final year. His freshman self would also not believe that he would get detention hours himself.
Aaron Jessen plans to attend college at Northeast in Norfolk, and his senior year is helping prepare him for his future by turning in assignments and meeting deadlines.
Freshman year Natalie Santillan would not believe that she would go to college, but she is and will be attending Northeast Community College to study business. A lot can change from the start of high school to the end; it’s nice to see the transition to people’s futures.
To “…start job shadowing as soon as possible” is what Luis Munoz would tell the future senior class. He also plans to work and study to become a deputy sheriff.
There is insight into some seniors’ minds. Have a great day, and if you aren’t a senior, be sure to tell any seniors you know that they got this! Take their advice: time is slipping past you, so take the opportunities now when you’re still a kid.
