Good morning, Discoverers, and happy spring break! I hope your days have been full of warmth, sunshine, and fun.
This whole week, I have been living my best life at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. We have visited every park at least once this week, and I went shopping along the Boardwalk. This may seem like a childish vacation to some, but honestly, what’s better than riding rollercoasters and meeting your favorite characters all day?
Anyway, this morning I woke up at 6 AM, because we are headed to Magic Kingdom (the one with the castle!) and it opens at 8 AM. I got ready in my t-shirt that matches my family, and my black Lulu shorts. After throwing my hair into a high pony, we were off to the bus station.
Our bus was not coming until 7:13 AM, so we had about 10 minutes to eat breakfast before I headed for the park. Maddi and I shared a plate of Mickey waffles (the best waffles EVER) and bacon.
Once we got to Magic Kingdom, we scanned into the park and headed straight for the new rollercoaster Tron. This one always has a crazy line, but we were able to get through pretty fast. After that, the day was a blur of meeting characters, taking cute pictures, and riding rides.
We finally settled down to watch the 9 PM firework show, which was beautiful to see in person. Although I felt like a million bodies were touching me—the area was jam-packed with tourists—I still made the best of the experience and watched the show before me.
After the fireworks ended, it was time to head back to the hotel for the evening. We chose to take the Skyliner back this time instead of the bus. If you don’t know, the Skyliner is a transport between hotels and parks through the air. It is always nerve-wracking to be on the Skyliner, but it is so pretty!
Tomorrow, I am going to Hollywood Studios (my personal favorite park) to celebrate my last day in paradise before heading back to Nebraska.
Though my Spring Break journey is eventful in a way different from yours, make sure to stay safe in whatever you are doing during YOUR break. Don’t do anything your grandma wouldn’t approve of 🙂 For now, Savannah is signing off to go enjoy the Happiest Place on Earth!
