Hello, Discoverers! Time for some pre-season baseball.
The baseball coaches have been hosting open gyms for athletes to start working on their own and improve for their upcoming season.
I asked Coach Neilson some questions about his upcoming season. One question I asked him was what he is excited to see this season. He said, “I always enjoy meeting the incoming freshmen and helping them grow as ball players.” Nielsen also says he wants to see the athletes grow, “…as athletes and always strive to improve on their skills. It has been great to see all the hard work that these guys have put in, and I can’t wait to see it out on the field.”
I also asked Coach Riedmiller some questions about this season. The first question I asked was what he was excited to see this season, and he said, “I am excited to see the guys play and compete to the best of their abilities.” Riedmiller also says he wants to see “us improve our ability to handle adversity. I hope to see this team improve and beat all their goals.” The last question I asked the coach was what he wanted to improve as a coach, and he said, “I want to learn how I can improve as a coach. We as coaches are always learning new things to try and implement into our programs.”
