With the end of the semester approaching, stress levels are high. Staying informed about mental health issues can often be a challenge, especially with the internet and its many questionably credible sources. Here’s some advice for staying informed.
- Use sources you know are credible; traditional media like newspapers and live TV broadcasts can help with this.
- Find a political bias chart for your news sources.
- Avoid sources with inflammatory language.
- Take a break (get off the internet) afterwards, and interact with your community.
- Find some positive news in your community as well as standard broadcast news.
- Set limits on how much time you spend per day looking at the news.
- Look at a few different sources for news
