Here I am, two years later, posting my final goodbye to AnchorNews. These past two years have been the biggest blessing, and I can’t believe we have reached the end.
Interviewing different students from around the school and taking pictures at events have definitely been the best parts of my time in AnchorNews! The Discoverer Dash and Cinderella were my two “most viewed” stories on the website, and were also the most fun for me to create! From politics to opinion, and sports to daily news, Ms. Kwap pushed me to write outside of my comfort zone to see how far I could go.
If I could give you a piece of advice as I leave high school, I’d say get involved. School days may be hard, friends come and go, but being involved can get you close to people that you never would have dreamed of being friends with. I’d also say stay steadfast in your beliefs, and change for no one. The person who is the best at being you is YOU, so don’t try to make yourself someone/something that you are not.
After I graduate, I am going to attend Midland University to double major in Arts Management and Digital Marketing. I am also committed to the school’s dance team and Honor’s program, so I’ll be participating in both during my four years.
Anyways, thank you for being a part of AnchorNews. Whether you are a student, parent, or fellow writer, you have all made an impact on my life, and the CHS Newspaper.
This is Savannah Klee, officially signing off. Go Discoverers!
