This week’s Teacher Tuesday is Mrs. Nelson. Nelson is the newest secretary in the counseling office. She says that she has always enjoyed working with children and seeing the process of them grow. She first started at Head Start working with young children. That’s when she decided to pursue her classes at CCC for early childhood education. After she  began to work at West Park for a few years, she even got to reconnect with some of the kids she had at Head Start. Now she is seeing those students in the high school and it’s great to see how they’ve grown since she’s had them!  

Nelson is married and she has two kids. Her daughter is attending Wayne College and is getting her major in Art Education. She also has a son at CHS who is a senior. Outside of her days of work, her days are usually filled with some sort of sporting event, spending time with her family and friends, and hanging around outdoors with the people she enjoys spending her time with.
