It’s that time of the week: Teacher Tuesday!! This week’s teacher is Mr.Sliva. Mr. Silva is not only a teacher for CHS, but he is also the head coach for boys’ basketball.
He teaches different subjects, but he said his favorite subject to teach is World History. “It is my first year teaching it, so it has been interesting and new.” I also asked him what he learned from being a teacher and he said, “You learn about the impact you have on students without even knowing it. Students may be quiet in your room or around you, but they still look up to you and ask for guidance.”
He also said that his favorite part of teaching is “ watching the growth of students throughout the semester and years. When I first started at CPS, I taught 3rd grade, and now those students are freshmen!”
